    Kitchen extractor fan and chimney

    Postby goose1982 » Fri Aug 17, 2007 5:19 pm

Hi I'm in a first floor flat and am changing the bedroom and kitchen around. I was looking to put the hob and oven against the chimney breast. Is it possible to have the ventilation duct from the extractor fan going up the chimney and out? This would be much easier than having it coming out the side wall. I have read that the vapour would condense and fall back down again. Are there any solutions to this?

    Any advice would be appreciated

    Thanks
