    Postby roberto » Mon Feb 09, 2009 5:29 pm

I have recently purchased a kitchen from howdens...I have a 931mm corner unit that has been delivered in 2 parts..there is a base unit which is 920mm long and a box with 2 other parts in it....i'm not seeing how they fit together? surely i need 3 more parts to make it square? any help would be much appriciated.

    howdens unit

    Postby sweetorb » Fri Feb 13, 2009 6:21 pm

    hi

is it a base unit or a corner unit?

normally howdens units r suplied with the centre brace set in the centre of the unit on base units, which sounds obvious! but! the door to the left or right of the unit(depending which side its going) isnt always half the size of the unit.(ie a 1000 unit doesnt always have a 500 door) depending how the plans r it mite b a 1000 unit with a 300,400,500 door, the same goes for an 800 unit(corner units r generally 1000 or 800). in wich case u have 2 move the centre brace and the corner post!

if its a wall unit, they supply u with 2 peices of pre finished(laminated) chipboard which (as per the instructions!) u have 2 fit to the larger wall unit (i.e the one that "flies thru to the wall") then fit the corner post to the 2 fillets, this means that the unit doors end up flush with the fillets so that the corner post sits proud of the doors....hard to explain, very easy do on site!!!

    hope this helps!
