Kitchen Spotlights

by Dudedad » Sun Mar 03, 2013 7:58 pm

Hi, I have just gone into the kitchen and switched on our lights (6 x GU10) via a single switch. All lights have just flashed for a split second and then gone out. They were working earlier today but not now. I am not overly electrically minded.

I have tried taking the bulbs out 1 at a time and then switching on to see if it may be a bulb causing the problem but had no change in the circumstances. I have got 2 x LED GU10 and 4 x standard GU10.

Please help as firstly don't want to risk major problems with having kids in the house but also don't want to go to huge expense on OOH call outs for electrician.

I would assume these are not the main lights one would not normally use spot lights for general lighting so likely there will be a fused connection unit (FCU) somewhere to reduce to maximum current to 3A. I would guess one bulb has blow and ionisation when it went took out the fuse.
