Knauf Space Blanket Information, help, tips and advice on cavity walls, ceilings and lofts etc....

Anybody have experience of using Knauf SpaceBlanket insultation? Do you really need to make sure all electrical cables are above the insulation?

All wiring in my loft is currently under boarding so can't see the need to do this?

Any advice before I start this job?

Did it myself,
The important thing is not to encapsulate your wiring in the middle of insulation - it needs to be touching plasterboard or similar on one side.

thanks for your response, but just to be clear, do you mean the wiring needs to be touching plasterboard (or similar) on one side? i.e. as long as the wiring isn't running through the insulation?

Yes sorry its the cable which must be touching.
