KNOCKING FROM BOILER

HI WE HAVE HAD A CORGE RES MAN OUT TO OUR WORSTER BOSCH COMBI GAS BOILER, TO SORT OUT KNOCKING, IN PIPES, HE HAS RUN OUT OF IDEARS OF WHAT ELSE COULD BE WRONG, WEVE HAD NEW FAN NEW PUMP, ANY IDEAS ANYONE PLEASE, HELP!!!!!!

Knocking in pipes ? New fan.
Did he explain how the fan could cause knocking noises in the pipework ?

What kind of knocking ? could is just be expansion, pipes rubbing and vibrating against other pipes/floorboards/joists.

If no then it could be kettling - likely if the boiler was fitted to old rads and pipework withoug flushing. No inhibitor added etc

Radiator valves ? can cause knocking noises, when the noise appears try opening and closing valves to see if the noise stops.

[hi do es the same anwser still apply as the boiler is about 10 years old, the knocking seem to come from the boiler but can be hear through the pipes around the house, thankyou for your reply
