laminate flooring help!

we want to lay laminate flooring, but have a wrought iron railing with many spindles along one edge of the room and down the stairs. does anyone have a suggestion that doesn't involve removing the spindles?

Finish the laminate flooring a short distance from the railing and fit a threshold to cover the edge of the flooring.
