Laying a sharp sand screed as a kitchen floor

by Russell Hasleden » Sat Apr 14, 2007 3:16 pm

My existing kitchen floor has been removed becaused it was very badly installed. To be able to lay a new screed one end has 75mm the other has 125mm. Can I lay a screed to different levels? Also how long would it be before I can walk and lay a laminate floor down.

Regards

Russell

You can lay the screed at different levels Russell but for strength it may be best to put a lightweight aggregate in the mix. Talk to your local builders merchants about lightweight aggregate.

Thanks, I know drying times vary, how long would I have to wait before laying laminate on top of the screed.
