laying Lemon Marble Tiles

Laying Lemon marble floor tiles which are a whitish lemony colour.
2 tile shops have said we must use a white adhesive when laying marble tiles but this is twice as expensive as the grey adhesive sold by B&Q
Are the tiles shops right or can we go for the greyAlso never done this before so any tips would be appreciated
