Leaking mixer spindle

Hello, water is leaking out of the spindle on my kitchen tap. It is a quarter turn type mixer, can this be repaired? Or would it be simpler to buy a new valve. The tap is about 7 years old.
Any help would be very appreciated.

See the project on reparng taps. Sounds lke a ceramx mxer and ts relatvely easy to get a replacement cartrdge from a decent plumbers merchants.
