leaking shower trap / waste - no access!!

Postby tetchy tony » Thu Jul 12, 2007 6:29 pm

Leaking shower trap or shower trap and pipe joint. Have no access to space under shower without removing tiles, shower door and tray, etc.
Anybody know of a nifty trick involving some form of pourable liquid sealant. Does such a thing exist?
Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi - I'm no plumber but wondered whether the liquid that people use to fix holes in swimming pools might work ?

As you look down the plug hole, is there a screw ? if so, try tightening this (not too much) it may have just came loose with use.

Otherwise some traps screw together, the bit under the shower tray and the bit above the shower tray, can you see anywhere that would turn to tighten the trap ?
