life of a timber frame building

what would you reasonably expect the life of a timber frame building to be, as opposed to a brick built building.

it depends on a number of factors really,like the type of timber,weather exposure etc.But pressure treated timber for decking has approximatly 20 years lifespan without further weatherproofing sealant.
