Light problem on ground floor

by Snowmaid » Sun Oct 12, 2008 9:42 am

Morning everyone. Please excuse the 'layman' terminology but hopefully you will understand what I am on about! :?

Our lounge/diningroom lights operate on one double switch. The diningroom part blew and my husband replaced the unit thinking it may be old. When he turned on the lights again, the diningroom part blew. A buddy came round with a current checky thingy and it APPEARS there may be a break between the light fitting to the box?!?!?

Anyway, we went out last night and when we came back, our kitchen lights are dead! Nothing had tripped?!?!? Kitchen is next to diningroom. Any ideas? Anyone? The lights and plugs on the 1st floor are working fine and the loft bedroom's lights and plugs also working fine.

We bought a year ago. The kitchen has these new 5 separate light thingies?.......!

:?
