Hi ggaznic,
The reds should be connected together at the light fitting, The Neutral(blacks) from Switch connect to Brown side (live) of lamp (bulb) and tag/sleeved with Brown PVC insulating sleeve. The Neutral(black) in-coming, should be connected to Blue(neutral) side of lamp. This should now work!
Question have you no earth conductors?
Regards and be safe, isolate before doing any work
