OK. GUY'S I SAID I'D BE BACK lighting fixed with a cheap out of bit's box NEON placed in parallel across the led (my fitting had 4 led's) mine came out of an old washing machine.
The suppressor normally found in power tools often in the handle of drills is the normal way to get rid of the problem.
See this http://www.maplin.co.uk/p/delta-suppres ... lter-rg21x as an example although rather expensive from Maplin. From vacuum cleaner to electric drill they all have them, some two wire some three wire. They are not designed to stop the LED glowing dim but 9 times out of 10 they work.
