Hi first time to this.
Was helping a friend move a wardrobe and somehow managed to knock a fitted wall light off the wall.
the light was broken and hanging on just by the wire so unscrewed it and then took the light off entirely
the white thing that has the earth and live wire going into it had tripped the power as the live came out.
So turned off the power cut a but off the live wire and fed it back in. Then on the other side removed the light cables as they were broken.
the live and earth are still connected
Popped it back into the middle wall holder and sealed it in.
Power back on it dosent trip anymore but is it safe?
