lighting with a mind of its own

by dogbitedave » Fri Feb 13, 2009 1:41 pm

I am visiting my mum and dad.

A series of three lights, the last in the chain I think can be on one minute and when a switch is used all thre die. No fuse or circuit switch pops.

It is sporradic. It appears suddenly.Any single or two of the three lights will be on , the third added and they pop. Not all three need to be on and they pop.

Having gone off, they, 1, 2, 3 come on agin as they wish.

This has appeared suddenly. No electricl changes, lights, switches have been made.

ANY SUGGESTIONS.... CAUSE .... SOLUTION? :?

Do you mean by pop the lights blowing, Most faults occur at the assessories, you say no circuits have been altered. So something is shorting across. Have a look in the ceiling roses for loose connection.
