Loft Warm Roof

by TONYTONE » Tue Feb 26, 2008 1:08 pm

Hi Guys,

Buildings regs talks about the need for ventilation between your roof tiles and your insulation (50mm). My roof at the moment does not appear to have any ventilation gaps at both soffit level and ridge level. Does anyone know how a warm roof works as the diagrams suggest that you don't need ventilation gaps which would make my job allot easier if my thinking is right.

Cheers in advance guys

you need a ventilated ridge and soffit vents to have a constant air flow
through the roof.
Use 50mm of kingspan insulation cut in between rafters .
But check with building inspector first.
He is there to help you if you ask.
