by armytouch » Sat Oct 18, 2008 10:06 pm

Hi, We have a halstead ace combi boiler,it working fine however needs topping up every few days have checked most of the pipework and cant seem to find any leaks from the pipework is it normal to lose pressure this quickly if not then why is it ?
Can the pressure be lost when running taps /showers.
thanks

You say you have no leaks but have you checked inside the boiler itself. My experience with this sort of slow loss of pressure is due to a leaky heat exchanger which doesn't show up with drips. Over time the one I had corroded and I needed a new boiler. You don't say how long you have had it or if the problem has been there since the start. Hope this helps.
