lost instructions for fitting trevi shower riser

Hi,

Can anyone help me with a set of instructions for fitting a trevi shower riser rail? The previous homeowner did not keep them and I need to replace the slider. But, I can't tell whether the fixtures are rusted tight or if I am not doing it right.
The make is trevi elipse. Thanks for the help
