Post by ste b » Mon Aug 06, 2007 12:00 am

I want to lower the height of my consumer unit, is it ok to connect all circuits to a dinrail and correct size din rail connectors, then connect lengths of wire to them so as to reach lower consumer unit. as my consumer unit is at ceiling height and har to reach when a MCB trips

STE B
I CAN SEE WHAT U R TRYING TO ACHIEVE HERE.
ALTERING POSITION OF MAINS BOARD THOUGH IS NOTIFIABLE WORK AND WOULD NEED A REGISTERED ELECTRICIAN PART P
TO CERTIFY AND DO WORK. MOST BONA FIDE WILL HAPPILY DISSCUSS REQUIREMENTS. WITH NO OBLIGATION.
