help I have a length of oak which I want to make into a mantle shelf. how does one attach to the wall? - what fitings/materials are required?

Did you find the answer to your question in this forum last year? I'm doing the same and Im struggling to work out how to fix my oak beam into the chimney breast. Any tips??
