MCB for cooker rated at 45A

by humero » Sun Nov 11, 2007 8:38 pm

Hi, Just buying a new cooker and it is rated at 45A. Currently the MCB on the board is a 40A. I need to up this to a 45A but can only see 50A for sale. Will this be OK? I have checked the cable and luckily for me it is 10mm so no change needed there. Just the MCB and a new cooker switch needed. Thanks in advance for any help.

Cheers

Save yourself some money and leave it at 40A. Think about changing if you have a problem with it tripping, which i don't imagin you will.
