    Mira sport - HELP!!

    Postby MaGiCpiCkLE » Thu Jan 19, 2012 12:17 pm

Hi all, new here, really hope someone can help....

I have a mira sport 10.8kw shower, which was working fine until recently. Now, when i turn on, all is good for few minutes then overheat light comes on, shower goes cold, then 30 seconds later, all resumes to normal. This repeats every minute or so....
So what have i done so far?

    Checked inlet filter, clean.
    Checked TCO, seems ok.
Measured resistance of elements, again seem ok.

Didn't seem much left, so replaced flow control valve, made no difference :( There was a small part came with the valve, that i didn't recognise, and could find no where it seemed to fit.... It was a small insert type thing, with a spring inside..

Well, here's hoping one of you has some genius idea, cos as i now spent £40 on valve, REALLY don't wanna give in and replace whole unit...

    Regards, Jamie

    MaGiCpiCkLE,
Suggest you get hold of Mira and see how much they would charge to sort the problem.
