Monobloc tap keep slipping

Post by warden100 » Thu Jan 07, 2010 8:32 pm

Hi all,

Moved in to this house a couple of years ago, and after a good while the kitchen (monobloc) tap has started slipping around.

I assumed it was a simple tightening issue, so bought some of those handy spanners but couldn't get it any tighter. I read the project page here, removed the threaded bar, eased up the bolt, and refitted it all as tight as I could (real He-Man effort going on) but it *still* slips round.

The washer between the sink and the tap is sound and in place, but I just can't get it to stop slipping (though it is a great deal better than before I started fiddling).

Any tips? Ta!

there should be a rubber washer both topside and underneath, ie between tap body and sink plus another between sink and bracket.
