Mould in Cellar but no Damp Issue

by acl499 » Fri Jul 28, 2017 12:46 pm

Hi All,

New user so forgive me if I've posted this in the wrong area....
I have a cellar that has had a damp inspection report and given the all clear however I keep finding mould on a table and pin board that's down there.
The air also feels a bit muggy.
The issue that I'm about to get fixed is there is a broken lightwell (cracked window) and the cellar has two humidity fans that lead up to 2 air bricks on the outside of the house. The fans are currently broken but soon to be replaced.
My question is given the pass on the damp report, will the replacement of the lightwell and humidity fans be sufficient to stop the mould growing and the ventilation issue or can you recommend me doing something else?

Thanks

Alvin
