Moving a thermosat

by motters » Thu Aug 06, 2009 9:28 pm

Buying a house which has the boiler thermostat right in the middle of the only large wall - leaving no room for my welsh dresser. Is it an easy job to get it moved? Would a local plumber be able to do this work?

It rather depends on where you want to move the stat to. Sure in principle it is only a question of altering the wiring which any electrician will do, but of course some damage may de caused to your decoration.

It may be worth considering replacing the stat with a wireless model in which case, it can be installed in any suitable location.
