Moving Outside Light

I have an outside light with a sensor that is not in the optimal position. I need to extend the exsiting wiring from the internal light switch by about 6 inches. Can someone please let me know the best and easiest way of doing this.

Any junction box outside the house would come under Part P so most likely best option is to renew whole cable but jobs of this type do really need some thought and there is no one size fits all.
