Hi. Currently im buying a new house, which has recessed windows on the front.
Basically it looks like the house has the external wall behind another external wall, and the window is installed in "internal" external wall, making kind of "balcony" (which is not accessible from inside though). It's really hard to describe that, when im looking through the window i can see empty space between the walls.
Please see the picture - two houses on the left have original windows, two houses on the right are "extended".
I've also noticed that many neighbours had moved their front windows to the "external" external wall, effectively extending their houses. Is it possible to make such modification without a building permission?
