My prat of a joiner has upped and left me with a space of 34
My joiner has upped and left me with a space of 34 inches for an internal door but I thought stops had to be about 25mm and the regs say the door has to be 33 inches. I don't know what to do. Can anyone help?
Internal door jambs have a thickness of 1 1/4" minus 1/2" rebate for the door that adds up to 33" door, plus 1 1/2" for the jambs=34 1/2" plus 1/8" both sides of the door for hanging = 34 3/4" the aperture is 3/4" to small. Phone him up and tell him to come back and fix it, remain professional if the guys got any pride in his work he will correct it.
