Post by bazamoza » Sat Jul 12, 2014 5:16 pm

Hello everyone .. i recently fitted some right hand double winder stairs now the problem i have is after fitting the striders with the walls not being even ( old property ) the gaps left between the strider and the wall are irregular varying from touching to aprox half inch .. what is the best way to bridge the gap and it to look half decent i have bought some wooden architrave but not sure they will do the job and look anything decent .. any ideas please ?? thank you Barrie

it make look right you could either use quadrant or a small fillet cut it into the wall so that it fills the gap, or use expanding foam, cut it back when set, and fill it with plaster
