No Hot Water to Taps

by johnmac » Mon Dec 20, 2010 3:39 pm

I'm getting no water through my hot taps - one in the kitchen, two in the bathroom. Cold water taps OK. It's a ground floor flat. Heating is by a combi which does both the HW and CH systems. The Ch is working. When I turn on the cold water tap in the kitchen water flows from either of the bathroom taps but not enough to fire up the combi. The kitchen tap is the first feed from the combi. The kitchen tap system is a single stem with a tap on either side. I think it might be a frozen pipe / air lock between the combi and the kitchen tap. Any ideas please? Thanks

Hot Water Taps - No water

Discovered it was the hot outlet pipe in the kitchen near a vent from an ooutside wall between the combi and the first tap. Trained a fan heater on to the area and flow restarted.
