no power in mains box to heaters

    Postby petralva » Mon Oct 27, 2008 2:32 pm

    hi
My electric heaters have stopped working,i tested the live wire feed to the relevant fuse in the main fuse box and have no current, does that mean that the fuse has gone or something far worse?

Any help would be appreciated before calling in the pro's

    thanks.

Your heaters if they are of the storage type are likely to be feed from their own consumer unit with timer I have found faulty timers in the past but there is unlikely to current or more to the point voltage as easier to measure voltage than current if the timer has not switched on.
But not all work this way some have the timers in the heaters themselves and the only real way to find out is to get someone in.
