Noisy Flushing toilet

by colin.dickinson » Sun Apr 20, 2008 1:16 pm

When i flush the toilet there is a very loud noise that can be heard throughout the house. This noise seems to increase if a tap is turned on or the cventral heating system is on. Can anyone offer any advice.

Regards

Not sure about the noise is worse if the central heating is on - but sounds like the ball valve needs replacing or the washer at least - the ball valve isn't opening fully and the pressure from the mains water is pushing against this and the pipes are vibrating.

Also could try closing mains stop tap slightly and clipping and lagging pipes.
