Not enough hotwater

by Chrishotwater » Tue May 03, 2011 11:22 pm

I have added en suite showers to a b& b
7 people in 4 rooms
There is only a single phase main and no gas
There is 1 x 15 mm rising main
2 showers have Ventura showers to help draw the h w through
1 shower is gravity fed
1 shower is electric from the cold feed
There is 1 bath as well
The system is oil fired Worcester 20/25
The cylinder is vented indirect, 247litre and the cold water storage is 40 gal in the attic
I am increasing the attic capacity to 80 gal storage because the supply does not keep up with use at peak times
?? How can I increase the heating speed or/and volume of hot water??

Chrishotwater,
If it's not on already try turning on the immersion heater.
I suspect you are drawing too much water for the mains to cope so an increase in pipe size will be necessary.
