    Oil stain on wardrobe

    Postby wardrobebugger » Wed Jan 04, 2012 1:17 pm

    Hi Doctors,

Am in serious need of your help here!
About a month backed I managed to get some Johnson's Baby Oil on the door of a veneer (I think it's veneer) wardrobe (don't ask me how or why!) I've been backward and forward all over the web to find out how to clean the stain, but haven't yet been successful - I tried white spirit and laundry powder which was recommended to me, but that was no good.

Any idea how I can clean this myself and fairly cheaply?

Thanks all in advance - I've attached a picture of the problem 'drobe... you can see the stain two-thirds of the way down the left door.

    wardrobebugger,
I'm not sure what is in JBO so you will have to find a suitable solvent, maybe white spirit is not the right one. Take a small amount of JBO and try mixing alternative solvents with it. Once you find one which puts the JBO into a solution try this on the door.
