old lead pipe

i have an old length of lead pipe in the kitchen that i need to cut back and cap off. it is live mains pressure. do you have to solder it or is there a special blank off fitting, cheers chris.

doesnt need soldering, also cut it back as far as possible if you dont need it and sell the lead - pay for a few beers at least.
