outside light

by mickn » Wed Nov 07, 2007 8:30 pm

Hi Sparx
I've an outside light with a 3 core wire running in to the garage and i want to connect an inside switch to it. Inside the garage i have a live 3 core wire and want to know how to draw power from the live wire to the switch which in turn will switch on/off the outside light. The wires all have red/bown and earth connections. please could you help and also tell me which terminals it should be connected to on the switch common etc.
Thanks

Mickn unfortunately for you your outside light is covered by part P. your only option is to get a part p sparky to carry out the installation for you
