paint on stone flags

have managed to reclaim original stone flags in my kitchen but they are covered in paint, have tried brick acid but no joy. anyone help with advice on how to clean them up

Have you had a look at the DIY Projects area at all: Under "C" in the list there are several projects related to cleaning various materials that may provide you with some help and information
