    painting a paneled door

    Postby rose » Mon Jul 18, 2011 12:35 pm

    Quick few questions.
Have painted a paneled door and have one more to do, but the one that I have already finished has now got cracks where the joins of the bars/panels are.

    1. Should I just refill with polycell wood filler, rub down and then paint over again as I don't really want the same happening on the next door as it seems I'm doing the same jobs twice over.

    thanks for any replies.

    rose,
Polyfilla won't help, try using flexible decorators filler but clean off the excess using a damp cloth so only the crack is filled.
    end

is that the fexible filler that is put around architrave and skirting boards? will definitely try it.

    rose,
"is that the fexible filler that is put around architrave " Yes but do clean off any excess carefully.
