painting over dark bathroom colour

Post by pagan » Sun Jan 09, 2011 2:15 pm

I want to repaint my bathroom a lighter colour. Do I need to use an undercoat to 'hide' the dark paint or wil lone/two coats of bathroom/kitchen paint cover it?

pagan,
Depends on the quality of the paint try one coat bathroom paint and see how well it covers.

I wouldnt say so. I think it would be at least 2 coats of any paint if its dark. Most dark colours have a dye in them so it bleeds through expecially dark blue's. I would get a white to cover it 1st preferably full not thinned.
