Painting over woodstain.

Help with painting over woodstain. Have tried primer, undercoat x 2, gloss x 2. Stain still comes through. Want to keep the door.

Have you tried stainblock ? otherwise try to get paint with a different solvent such a methyl based paints

try using a Zinzzer coverstain. It will block the stain ans allow you to paint with ordinary oil based top coat

Use zinsser B-I-N it's shellac based,unbeatable for what you intend doing.
Apply 2 coats to be sure of a good seal and leave for 5-7 days for best results,after that time,you can apply and water based or oil based coatings.
