Painting with fiberglass resin

I'm working with fiberglass for the first time. A couple of questions:

1. What type of brush is best for me to use?
2. How should I be cleaning it?

Not a decorating question but.. My mate does carbon overlaying with resin just use an old paint brush and wash with spirits brush cleaner. Wouldnt go to much expence on a brush as it goes hard very quick.
