I recently decide to give my kitchen cupboards an upgrade by paitning them. I used a standard mat paint, and, while I like to efffect, it has already chipped. Is there some kind of varnish or protective coating I can put on to make it more hard wearing. Don't mind if it makes it glossy.

    Hi

I used textured spray paint after I painted a water based glue onto my cupboard doors. Purchased in all good diy stores. Or you could use a matt finish varnish to seal your paint and so hopefully prevent chipping.... without a gloss finish.
