I want to build a rectangular patio 11.5m x 4m which would be 20m from the house, beside an above ground swimming pool (no other buildings nearby).
The ground has already been excavated to 20cm deep. The ground below is a hard packed clay (we are in France).
I already have 2 cubic metres of gravel (average size 8mm) and 3 cubic metres of building sand lying about nearby. I also have access to a whacker plate and a ready mix concrete delivery service where the maximum delivery drop is 4 cubic metres. I do not want to mix concrete myself due to a bad back! I can either buy exterior tiles for the patio or paio slabs to finish it off.
What would be the best way to go about this? Any advice appreciated..
