PEX Pipe on solid fuel boiler

by Orkatec » Fri Oct 21, 2011 4:52 pm

Hi
I have just got a new Solid Fuel Cooker Boiler.
I would plumb this using copper but with the price of pipe and fittings I am thinking of using PEX Pipe and fittings. How far from the boiler should I run the Copper before using the PEX.
Any related advice would also be welcome.

Orkatec,
Stick with copper for the whole primary circuit, you cannot predict the temperatures involved with a solid fuel boiler.
