Pipework in Flooring in Timber-Framed House

by TimberFrameNewbie » Sat Apr 14, 2012 5:40 pm

We have just bought a timber-frame constructed house (a new experience for us) and want to run central heating pipes in the upstairs floor. We have been told that the flooring in a timber-frame constructed house is an integral part of the structure, and therefore if we were to cut into or disturb the floor it could compromise the structure of the house. Is that correct?
Thanks.
