PIR Replacement - different colour wiring

Post by gordonc » Thu May 24, 2007 12:18 pm

My old PIR had the usual E,N & L connected, but it also had a black & white wire going into a port which was connected to a black wire within my flex cord (A flex cord leads from the security light unit to the separate PIR).

Which port does the black wire from the flex go into the new PIR sensor?. (I have E,N and 2 Live ports on the new PIR).

Thanks

Hi, look at your 2 'live' terminals probably have other markings such as L, SL or L1, L2, may have drawing inside cover lid,
normally L or L1 is from mains & SL / L2 is switched line back from PIR,
