    Planning Confusion

    Postby graffy » Fri Jan 21, 2011 4:15 pm

Please Advise, have applied for planning permission for two storey rear extension of end terraced house. The proposed first floor extension is 3m out from the existing rear wall and 6m wide. the proposed second floor is again 3m out from the original rear wall but planning office tells me that i have to build 3m from the the party wall line resulting in a small upper floor extension. I can understand that there should be a 45 degree line of sight from next doors bedroom window (which is 1.14 m from the party wall line )which would make for a reasonable extension. The permitted development act states 3m out from original rear wall and 2 m space from party wall line to extension... confused, please help
