Planning permisson???

Hello there. I want to replace my existing prefab concrete garage with a block built one that will be wider by about 1 metre. Ballpark question is do you think I will need planning permission, given that the only thing that will change is the construction of the garage, and it's width. It's a detatched garage wholly on my land on a detached plot, and will not impact on anyone!!
