Plasterboard - Can squared and tapered edged be used togethe

by gordonsherratt » Thu Jul 29, 2010 4:22 pm

I have Part plaster boarded a ceiling with squared edge board (ceiling is going to be skimmed), I ran out and ordered more from another merchants; however they dropped of the tapered board instead.

I asked them to change it but they said because it’s going to be skimmed it wont be an issue. I am just concerned if there is any movement that cracking may be more likely. I am sure he is saying the truth but just wanna check with someone else (easier for the merchants to say this than rather coming out and changing the boards).

Cheers
